Alpha Modification of Eagle’s Medium with Earle’s Salts, Deoxyribonucleosides, Ribonucleosides & L-Glutamine & 1% Penicillin-Streptomycin, 1X, STERILE
Alpha Modification of Eagle’s Medium can be used with a variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells, including keratinocytes, primary rat astrocytes, and human melanoma cells. It can also be used for transfected DHFR negative cells. It contains all 21 normal amino acids, some at increased concentrations. A variety of AMEM is available for a range of cell culture applications.
Penicillin-Streptomycin solution is commonly used to supplement cell culture media to prevent contamination. It is the most used due to their effective action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
