Iscove’s Modified Dulbecco’s Medium (IMDM) is well suited for rapidly proliferating, high-density cell cultures, including Jurkat, COS-7, and macrophage cells. Iscove′s medium supports murine B lymphocytes, hemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells.
Penicillin-Streptomycin solution is commonly used to supplement cell culture media to prevent contamination. It is the most used due to their effective action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
