TG-SDS buffer allows the separation of protein samples by SDS-PAGE. Protein electrophoresis under denaturing conditions (SDS-PAGE) involves separating proteins based on their size. When treated under denaturing and reducing conditions with SDS, proteins in a sample unfold and become coated with SDS detergent molecules.
